  2. Get a short list. Venues that are open on your date and sized to your guest list, with pricing and what's included.
  3. Tour the ones you like. Walkthroughs are scheduled around you. Bring your questions about catering, parking and rain plans.
  4. Hold your date. When one fits, you sign directly with the venue and put down the deposit. The date is yours.

What to know about booking a venue in Tampa Bay

Season, weather and water shape almost every venue decision here, and the good dates go early.

The season runs backwards

October through April is peak season in Tampa Bay, when the weather is dry and mild. Summer dates are easier to get and often cheaper, but you plan around heat and afternoon storms.

Wedding venues

Rain plans are not optional

From June to September a storm rolls through most afternoons around 3 or 4 and clears by evening. Every outdoor venue worth booking has a covered or indoor fallback, and you should see it.

Waterfront venues

Three counties, three price levels

Downtown Tampa and the beaches cost the most. Plant City, Lutz, Land O' Lakes and east Hillsborough have barns and acreage venues at a very different price for the same guest count.

Barn and rustic venues

Parking and rideshare matter

Downtown and Channelside venues often rely on garages and valet. Rural venues need shuttle plans. Ask before you fall for the view.

Common questions

How does this work, and what does it cost me?

You tell us about the event and we match you with venues that have your date open. There's no fee to you. You tour, choose and sign directly with the venue.

How far ahead should I book a Tampa venue?

For a Saturday wedding in peak season (October through April), 12 to 18 months is normal for the most popular venues. Corporate events and parties can usually be placed within a few weeks to a few months.

Do you work with venues outside Tampa?

Yes. Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas counties, including St. Petersburg and Clearwater. See the full area list.

What should I have ready before I reach out?

A date or a few options, a guest count within about 20 percent, and a budget range for the venue itself. If you don't have all three yet, that's fine. Say so and we'll work with what you have.

Can I bring my own caterer or bar?

Depends on the venue. Some have in-house catering and bar, some have a preferred list, and some are open to outside vendors for a fee. We'll flag which is which so you don't tour a place that won't work.
